Playa la India, the paradise that a few know about

Did you know that Playa La India was once considered by National Geographic as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world?

It is also located within one of the most impressive bays in Huatulco.

Imagine spending a day on a pristine, virgin beach where the landscape blends the beauty of the sea with the dry tropical forest. As you lie on its soft white sand, surrounded solely by nature, listening to the sound of the waves and swimming in refreshing crystal-clear water, you'll live an experience you simply cannot miss.

Playa La India is a virgin beach with calm waters, located in Chachacual Bay within Huatulco National Park. This bay is one of the nine that make up Huatulco, Oaxaca. Access is only by sea, which keeps the area quiet, uncrowded, and beautifully preserved.

Activities you can enjoy:

• • Snorkeling to observe colorful fish and part of the reef.

  • Swimming and relaxing in its calm waters.

  • Walking along the beach and admiring the landscape, flora, and fauna.

  • Sitting on the sand to rest and take in the natural surroundings.

How to get there?

Since it is a virgin and isolated beach, the only way to reach it is by sea, either by boat or private yacht. From the Santa Cruz or Chahué docks, the trip takes approximately 40 minutes.

If you wish to experience this adventure, you can book a bays tour, where a specialized guide will ensure an even more enjoyable visit.

What to bring?

• Since it is a virgin beach, there are no restaurant services, so it is recommended to bring cash, as local vendors usually sell snacks, as well as enough water to stay hydrated.
• It’s important to apply sunscreen due to the strong sun exposure.
• Additionally, because it is located within the National Park, there tend to be more mosquitoes, so bringing insect repellent is recommended to avoid bites.

Playa La India is a little-known destination and an excellent option for those who want to escape large crowds and reconnect with nature while breathing fresh, clean air.

We invite you to discover and enjoy this wonderful paradise in a conscious and responsible way, respecting the local flora and fauna.
