We arrive at the Shluunamx palenque in the municipality of Santa María Huatulco, just 25 minutes from Bahías de Huatulco. Here, we will explore the agave trails to learn about the mezcal-making process, from cultivation to distillation, and understand the pearly consistency characteristic of this ancestral drink.

After visiting the maguey fields, we will head to a hill with a panoramic view to enjoy a chocolate tasting and admire the stunning landscape surrounding the palenque.

Following the chocolate tasting, we will continue the experience with a sampling of artisanal mezcals. You’ll taste this ancestral drink accompanied by chapulines, quesillo, and totopos to appreciate its unique flavors and aromas.

To conclude, we will savor a delicious traditional mole served with rice and pitchers of seasonal fruit water, completing an authentic gastronomic experience rooted in our region’s daily life.
